Typhoon Helen is said to get out the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow. Metro manila is placed under Yellow Warning. Towns of Hagonoy and Calumpit, Bulacan are still under the flood. Flood in some parts of binan, laguna are still above the height of an individual. Rice fields in Bohol are already dead because of too much heat. Tropical Storm Helen (Kai-tak) slammed into the Philippines Wednesday, dumping heavy rains and causing renewed flooding and landslides in a nation hit by weeks of destructive monsoon weather. While Metro Manila and surrounding areas were not directly hit, they were inundated with intermittent bursts of heavy rain; just a week after flooding that covered much of the city left 95 people dead. A search is on for convicted killer Rolito Go, after he disappeared from his maximum security cell at the New Bilibid Prison. NBP director Gaudencio Pangilinan confirmed Go's disappearance was discovered during the morning head count of inmates. Pangilinan was quoted in the report as saying the NBP is now coordinating with hospitals in Metro Manila, including Makati Medical Center and Chinese General Hospital, on Go's whereabouts. Go, a businessman, was convicted for the fatal road rage shooting of college student Eldon Maguan in 1991. Go had said in a radio interview last year that he had colon cancer following checkups at the Makati Medical Center (MMC) for a recurring stomachache and constipation.
