Pacquiao Has Slim Chance – Bradley

MANILA, Philippines --- While many have noticed the same thing about Manny Pacquiao, Tim Bradley said it’ll be him who will succeed in exploiting the Filipino’s glaring weakness.
“Pacquiao doesn’t fight well in-fighting,” Bradley said during his open media workout a few days ago in Indio, California.
“He doesn’t. You look at all of his fights, he doesn’t fight well inside. He throws flurries, combinations, and then he gets out. He steps out and throws and then come back with a shot,” said Bradley, who faces the Filipino great on June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Bradley said he has studied Pacquiao so well the last three months that he is aching to get on the ring and settle the issue once and for all.
“He won’t stand there and bang,” stressed the 28-year-old Bradley, a 3-1 underdog but unbeaten and not as worn out as Pacquiao’s last three opponents.
Mexican Erik Morales had said the same stuff about Pacquiao in 2006 but when he was actually on top of the ring, within breathing distance with him, he could not do what he had promised to do.
British Ricky Hatton also shared the same sentiments but wound up flat on his back in 2009.
Still, Bradley is not leaving anything to chance.
“Maybe they’re working on it now, trying to back me up. But we’re aware of that and we’re aware of anything. Maybe he will come forward and try to bang me out.”
