MANILA, Philippines -- Timothy Bradley pulled off an upset against Manny Pacquiao by outpointing the Filipino boxer in their 12-round world title fight in Las Vegas , Nevada .
Judges scored the fight 113-115, 115-113 and 115-113 to award a split decision and the World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight crown to Bradley.
It was a sorry loss for Pacquiao who was looking for a spectacular win to boost his chances of getting the elusive super-fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The loss was Pacquiao’s first in 12 years. He now has 4 defeats against 54 wins and 2 draws.
Bradley, on the other hand, improved his record to 29 wins, 0 defeat and 1 no contest.
